You'll need the following materials:

Step 2: Clean the Damaged Area
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust or debris from the damaged area. Then, wipe the area down with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or grime.
Step 3: Apply the Wood Filler
Use a putty knife to apply the wood filler to the damaged area. Be sure to fill the hole completely and smooth out the surface.
Step 4: Sand the Wood Filler
Once the wood filler has dried, use sandpaper to sand it flush with the surrounding wood. Start with a coarse-grit sandpaper and gradually switch to a finer-grit sandpaper until the surface is smooth.
Step 5: Clean the Area Again
Use a tack cloth to remove any dust or sanding residue from the area.
Step 6: Stain the Wood (Optional)
If the damaged area is in a visible location, you may want to stain it to match the rest of the floor. Apply a thin coat of stain to the area and let it dry completely.
